On March 27,  the North Springs Girls Track Team was named #1 in the Nation in the AAAAA division in the 4×400.

The relay consisted of four runners, Junior Saran Kouyeth, sophomore Kayla Tolbert, and seniors Jayda Drake Howard and Kennedi Weston Shields.

This is the third national title in four years for the team (the bothers were in ’15, ’17, and ’18), with a second-place ranking in 2016.

The team is coached by the Physical Education chair, Patty Carroll, and the Olympic gold medal winner, Antonio McKay.

The team has a long history of greatness including state championships in 2004, 2005, and more recently in 2016.

Carroll says that the team creates opportunities for their girls as shown in Jayda Drake-Howard earning a full 5-year athletic track scholarship to UCF.

North Springs could not be more proud of our track team. Go Spartans!!!
