Open House a Hit with Prospective Students

On Sunday, November 6th, prospective students from across the county had the opportunity to explore all that North Springs has to offer at an Open House event.

From 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, unique aspects of North Spring’s student life were displayed throughout the entire school: the North Springs Ambassadors, the North Springs Theatre Department, the North Springs Fencing Team, The North Springs Oracle, and many other clubs and departments all made appearances with teachers and students representing the various departments and organizations. Dozens of volunteers were also present in order to make the Open House run as efficiently as possible.

Carol Ciepluch, North Springs’ Communication Liaison, spearheaded the planning and executing of the Open House.  “We had about 200 people in attendance,” said Ciepluch. “[There were] over 70 families…They represented 30 different middle schools.  Of that group, 11 were from our feeder school Sandy Springs Middle, and after that, there were a couple from Davis, a couple from Epstein, Mount Vernon Presbyterian, Pace…the list goes on.”

Along with students looking to attend North Springs, current Spartans came to express interest in seeing the newly renovated Art Gallery, which had an opening reception along with the Open House.

In addition to the multitude of clubs and organizations attending, Ciepluch ensured that a wide variety of snacks was present to make the potential Spartans feel at home and well-satiated.
