My favorite memory from North Springs was spending a day hanging out outside and helping with the Senior Olympics sophomore year.

My favorite teachers at North Springs have been Mr. Smith, Mr. G, and Ms. Kaminsky.

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

Work hard but make the most of your time at North Springs and have fun!

4. What is your favorite food?

French fries

5. What do you plan on majoring in/where are you going to college?

I don’t know where I’m going to college yet, but I plan on majoring in International business.

9. Sarah Saltzman

1. What is your favorite North Springs memory?

My favorite North Springs memory is of the first pep rally as a freshman. There was so much cheering and school spirit – a great introduction to high school!

My favorite teachers are Ms. Jackson, Mr. Benschine, Mr. Smith, and Mr. G.

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

Challenge yourself. You do not know what you can accomplish if you do not attempt to take difficult classes. Also, try your best from the first day of freshman year because every assignment counts.

4. What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is pizza.

5. What do you plan on majoring in/where are you going to college?

I am attending Emory University in the fall and am planning to major in biology or neuroscience.

8. Rachel Kaufman

1. What is your favorite North Springs memory?

Kaufman enjoys both the sciences and the humanities.

The AP Physics final junior year. We used a slingshot to launch water balloons across the football field, and then just ended up having a water balloon fight. I got completely soaked and then had to go take my Spanish final sopping wet!

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

Enjoy your time in high school! Study hard, but leave room to do the things that make you happy. Play a sport. Join a club. Go to sleep! It is important to maintain a balance between school and the rest of your life.

4. What is your favorite food?

Ice cream and sushi. But not together.

5. What do you plan on majoring in/where are you going to college?

I am not sure. I want to be pre-med, but I also want to explore other subjects like history and literature.

My favorite North Springs memories are traveling through Japan with my classmates, sleeping at school during COMAP, and just hanging out in the parking lot with my friends after school.

My favorite teachers are Mr. Benschine, Ms. Kaminsky, Mr. Luna, and Mr. G.

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

Whether it’s a short worksheet or a major essay, always do your best. It might seem boring, but it will help you develop a drive, self-discipline, and work ethic that will benefit every aspect of your life.

4. What is your favorite food?

Asian food is my favorite!

5. What do you plan on majoring in/where are you going to college?

Next fall I’ll be going to Washington University in St. Louis. I want to try a lot of classes before I definitively choose a major, but for now I plan on doing engineering and pre-med.

1. What is your favorite North Springs memory?

Some of my favorite North Springs memories include marching band, swim team, a trip to Japan, and COMAP with Mr. G.

Some of my favorite teachers have been Mr. Brown, Mr. Luna, Mr. G, and Mr. Smith.

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

My best academic advice is to pay attention in class because half of the battle is being there and and being attentive.

4. What is your favorite food?

I love all food equally, but anything pasta could pass for my favorite.

5. What do you plan on majoring in/where are you going to college?

I am going to Georgia Tech in the fall, and I plan to major in a bio medical type of engineering so that I can study bionics.

My favorite NS memory was when I got to direct my first 10-minute play in Adv Drama IM last year. A lot of people had been

given the same scene to direct, but I worked really hard with my actors, and we were able to craft something beautiful that was completely unique from the others. That moment, when the class applauded after our scene and I could feel the excitement in the air, felt amazing because I had found something that I truly enjoyed and had succeeded in doing it.

Ms. Pekatos, Mr. Luna, Mr. G, Ms. Protos

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

Know your limits, but push yourself as far as you can go. If AP classes aren’t for you, don’t take them, but maybe instead take some honors classes to challenge yourself. And always do your best to keep up with your school work, and then if you mess up once or twice, be honest with your teachers and they’ll help you out.

My favorite memories from North Springs were made at COMAP both my Junior and Senior years.  Re-learning how to roller blade (falling in the roller blades oops), eno-ing in the commons, eating ALL of the food, etc.  The whole experience was absolutely amazing and I’ll never forget it!  (Also that one time in AP Physics when we dropped watermelons off of the stadium, and Larry brought sliced watermelon.  That’s one for the scrapbooks).

2. Who were your favorite teachers at North Springs?

My favorite teacher is Ms. Dellaria!  I have had her for two and a half years now, and this past year have gotten to know her very well because I am in her two person class.  She is also our sponsor for North Springs National Art Honor Society; she dedicates so much of her time and energy to this school and really cares about the students.

3.  What academic tips do you have for future and current Spartans?

Learn how to prioritize your work and manage your time; figure out a system that works for you and then stick to it.  But don’t be afraid to reward yourself and have fun!  Grades are important, but so it being happy.  Try to find a balance.

4. What is your favorite food?

J. Christopher’s Pancakes with hot sauce.  Legit so good.  Also bagels.  All breakfast foods.  

5. What do you plan on majoring in/where are you going to college?

Next year I’ll be enrolled in the engineering school at the University of Pennsylvania, but my major is undecided.  I also hope to minor in their Fine Arts program.
