Getting that summer job!

It’s almost summer and everyone wants to have fun over summer break right? The problem is though that you need money to do all of those fun things. That’s where finding a summer job comes in. Finding a summer job can be mush easier than people think.

There are some very simple jobs that you can get over the summer such as babysitting for neighbors or working at summer camps in your area. Landing a babysitting job is simple; all you really need to do is put up flyers with your information and just be patient. Remember to make a good first impression and to be as mature as possible!

A way to find out about summer camps that are hiring teen helpers can be as simples as just looking it up online. Another way is to check out your local schools and places of worship to see if there are going to be any summer camps held there. There are plenty of other options besides these two.

Other popular summer jobs are usually life guarding, food service, tutoring, and landscaping. Life guarding is a great choice for teens who are strong swimmers; life guarding can be a challenging position that comes with a fair share of responsibility. Completion of certification courses is required to be a lifeguard.

A job in the food service industry is a great fit for social teens. This job also comes with an opportunity for high earnings since food service jobs usually come with an hourly wage of about $9 or $10 per hour. Many restaurants also allow their staff to earn tips.

Teens that are particularly studious or aspire to work as a teacher one day might enjoy spending their summer months tutoring. Kids that are in summer school often need the extra help.

Landscaping is a great seasonal job is a good choice for teens who love to spend time outdoors. Since many people don’t have time to care for their lawns, this job is often in high-demand through the summer months. These are a couple ideas of some relatively simple summer jobs but the list is much longer than just these.
